Your Privacy — physmat.org

Hi! This is the short, easy version, written for you. The longer grown-up version is the Privacy Policy. It tells you what we keep about you, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do.

What we keep about you

When you use physmat.org, we keep a few things:

We keep this so the website works for you. We do not show you adverts. We never send you adverts. That is a promise.

Who can see how you are doing

We want the website to show you clearly when a grown-up can see what you are doing.

Your chats with the AI helper are private to you

If you use the AI helper (we call it a tutor), your chats with it are yours to read. Your parent and your teacher cannot read your chats with the helper. Only you can.

About the AI helper

The AI helper is here to help you with a problem when you are stuck. A few important things to know:

The first time you use the AI helper, you will see a short reminder that tells you these things. There is also a longer note about it, the AI Tutor Notice.

If you ever feel upset or scared

If you type something that shows you are upset, scared, or not safe, a grown-up will see it and try to help. We do not ignore it. You are not in trouble for telling us how you feel — we want you to be okay. You can read more in our Safeguarding Statement.

Practice that fits you

Sometimes the website can pick problems that fit how you are doing, using what you have practised before. This is switched off unless a grown-up turns it on. When it is on and it is choosing problems from your history, you will see a short reminder telling you so.

You can see or delete your information

You can ask to see all the information we keep about you, or ask us to delete it. The easiest way is to ask your grown-up — they can do it for you, or they can contact us. If we delete your account, we take away the things that say who you are.

Your grown-up can write to us at mail@physmat.org. If you or your grown-up are not happy with how we look after your information, you can also tell the Information Commissioner's Office (the ICO) — they are the people in the UK who check that companies look after your information properly (ico.org.uk).

Who we are

We are the people who run physmat.org: to be confirmed. You can reach us, or our privacy person, at mail@physmat.org. to be confirmed

If anything here is hard to understand, ask your grown-up to read it with you, or to read the longer Privacy Policy.
